social: since the invention of agriculture, technological advances have permitted humans significantly increasing amounts of power. power allows for great change, constructive and destructive. the destruction threatens to be permanent, the construction threatens to be fleeting.

moral: consider the consequences, set them against values. to begin moral discussions, values must be agreed upon, else we talk past each other. values can be argued through thought experiments, but no one is wrong.

anecdotal original: one day i was reading about webcomics over at fleen, specifically an interview with howard tayler, and he said that webcartoonists should think of themselves as “subject matter experts rather than as cartoonists”, and i thought that was a good idea.

in total: i am a bad thing. but i do my best to be accurate.
