An alien force, named Maltzar (Malzar) Thornrose, accidentally lands himself in the universe of the Avengers. Loki, intrigued with this new source of power aids him in attaining the Tesseract in order to create a portal to bring him home.
But as always, Loki has something else up his sleeve, and the Tesseract proves more of a challenge to control than Thornrose had anticipated...
