When Evlin, a friendly-but-shy 10-year-old, and her family move from the bustling city of Belle-Haven back to the quiet, whimsical woodland town of Greenleaf Meadows, she is reunited with her best friend, Avery, whose sweet but somewhat hyperactive personality proves to be a little more than she can handle (that, and perhaps the fact that he is a skunk). Together, they maneuver through the various ups and downs of small-town life as they attempt to pick up where they left off years ago.
