Desert Steampunk Fantasy.
Kindred Sun takes place in the arid, sandy wastelands of a country called Rithelien. Marked by a curse from a vengeful goddess, most of the children born in the sands are male. Women are rare and prized, born in the goddess’ image. They rule the scattered tribes and cities, and they chose their own consorts from the many males available.
The men remaining are left to find their own way in the world and struggle to make a living. Some join into nomadic groups to find a way through life together, often forming their own families.
This is the story of one of those families.
