LINT is a FARCE

wherein things happen which perhaps don’t make any sense

Sometimes it is DRAMATIC

but mostly it is firmly tongue-in-cheek

(even while being dramatic)

And it is a TOOL

to implement the love/hate relationship the author endures with the fantasy genre
