The current year is 1994, yet the meta human Cold War continues without any end in sight. Ever since the discovery of the first “Meta-Human”, Those gifted with powers beyond anything that could be achieved by a regular human. In 1946, history has drastically shifted from the one we know now. Nations and Governments across the world changed from solely focusing on nuclear power to instead focus on canvassing their population for these “Metas,” treating them as their own deterrent to even rival nuclear power.

In 1959, however, a small group of visionaries sought to change this. Using their powers and gifted minds, they built and established a small nation amidst the Pacific ocean. From there, they invited many of the world’s most talented Meta-Human and Human minds to join them. This resulted in this one island among the Pacific Ocean to become one of the most technologically advanced locations in the world, making leaps and bounds in science and academics to surpass any other competitor at its time. Thus, in 1964, this collection of brilliance decided to officially declare this island as its own independent nation; Nirvana.

Dispite Nirvana’s open broadcasted promise of free citizenship and protection from any government’s oppressive anti-meta regime, most nations initially took Nirvana as a joke. They believed that a collection of Metas would simply surmount to nothing, given the “benefits” being offered to their own Meta-Human soldiers could outweigh anything Nirvana had to give. That misguided belief was quickly shattered as thousands upon thousands of Meta-Humans fled their former homes, all in favor of a promise of true freedom and equal opportunity. Of course there was those who stayed, but no nation attempted to stop such an action. Who’d want to invade an entire nation full of Metas?

Thus the years flew by to the current date; 1994. Now the independent state of Nirvana is reaching its 25th unification anniversary. Political tensions are at an all time high now, due to Meta-Humans emerging at unprecedented rates all across the world ever since their discovery back in 1946. But even though each nation is ascending militarization to near extremes, all eyes are set on Nirvana, each power desperate for a taste of their wealth.
